I am the Dorset Area Group Organiser for the 3mm Society. The reason for choosing 3mm is that I can do some real modelling without the distraction of Ready to run models. At present I have a 3mm layout, Hennock, which has been exhibited several times. It is also booked for several shows in the future. Currently I am building another 3mm Layout-Teignford. Please mail me if you have a similar interest, query or wish to convert to 3mm.

Tin Roofing.
After cutting out the sheets, it was time to affix to the false roof. This had been made up from some thin strawboard- the type of card that backs notepads etc.
As I wanted a'just about fixed' type of roof, I wasn't too fussy about fit. This can be tidied up once the lot is dry.
I hope the selection of pictures gives a good impression of what I am trying to achieve.
Once a wash of tin colour followed by rust, I hops it will turn out OK.
The pictures are a bit random today- had to play about with settings to bring out the required detail.
Digital cameras are not really my thing- well any camera really. Unfortunately it is a necessary evil- otherwise you would just see words which to my mind anyway -gets tedious.
So patience needed whilst it drys- thenclean it all up.
