Always wanted one of these.

As a reward for giving up smoking- two months now- the family presented me with a Heljan Type 33 'Crompton'. This will eventually run on the new 4mm version of East Boldre which is being built side by side with the 3mm one- watch this space!!!

3mm Society SR N Class 2-6-0

 Back into stock is this kit which is whitemetal and brass construction with the opportunity to produce several variants.
This will be part of the stock for East Boldre, together with some relevant rolling stock already started.

Station Canopy Supports

These cast white metal gems are from the 3mm Society shop.
For around a pound these are suffuicient for the station building that will grace East Boldre.
With the wealth of goodies that I have, I must get on, weather permitting, and build the baseboards.
These will be my standard-now-3'6'' x 16'' 6mm ply braced with 2''x1'' red deal.
This will enable me to use a common fiddle yard for both Teignford and subsequent layouts. I can't see why I have to have a fiddle yard for all layouts when a common one will do. Also will help to have only one adaptable light gantry.

East Boldre.

 This is the original East Boldre- in 4mm scale.
Based  on a real village in the New Forest, this layout was shown at several exhibitions until sold to make way for Hennock.
New boards are cut but need bracing. I have hand built pointwork and several lengths of 3mm Society 12mm track.
So- if it will stop raining then I can get on. Another thing stopped by the weather is spraying numerous projects, not worth the risk of the top coat blooming due to the wet atmosphere.
