Loco Crew from Langley Models.

This pack, TT3 in Langleys' range, I might have mentioned before. No matter , they are good enough for a second mention.
Well cast, and ready for a blast of undercoat before apparell paint is applied.
It is always difficult, in any scale, to find differently posed loco crew- perhaps that's why so many are missing?
More please Mr Langley!

Railway Workers.

 These are some more that have been painted- this time though they are white metal castings.
Available from the 3mm Society, a few deft touches with a fine file or emery stick sees them ready for painting.
Two sets of loco crew and a man pushing a wheelbarrow ( which I haven't painted yet!)

1:100 People.

 Whilst showing Teignford, at Bournemouth If I remember correctly, I found several packets of figures  to 1;100 scale. Wether these are original Preiser or a Far East copy I cant be sure- one thing they were and thats a bargain.
I obtained more acrylic paint from a Wargaming company in Chrischurch- and whilst recovering from my recent incapacity slowly painted a few.
Here are the results-

3MM Dogs!

Some canine friends from that nice Mr Langley wraps up the trio of packets bought at Warley.
Dogs big and small- the lone pooch on Hennock (sitting patiently outside the signal box) can now have a friend.
Once again- well done Mr Langley for some crisply cast dogs- some would say they are the b******* but being a nice chap I won't- I will just think it!

Langley Models Loco Crew-in 3MM!

 One of several recently introduced castings from Langley Models.
There is always a dearth of loco crew in most scales- we don't want the same figure leaning out of the cab or shovelling coal as in the rest of our collection.
So something different and most welcome by me.
These are cleanly cast and have a spigot on a leg to aid fixing to whichever footplate I choose.
Just got to paint them- and a lot more.

People

This set of Railway workers is L9 in the Society range. Four workers and a barrow are all cast in white metal.
Needing a bit of work before painting, they are also a bargain at the same price of the set seen a few days ago.

Set L9 in the 3mm Society range is this set of Drivers and Firemen.
They will need a bit of work doing to them before painting but at £1.50 for the set of six, three drivers and three firemen they have to be a bargain.

Eyeryone needs people.

Having had some idle time whilst awaiting the arrival of my new Grandson, one doesn't want to get too involved in a project. Hence some new people for the next layout. I have experimented with acrylic paints for a change and am quite surprised by the result. I didn't expect the colours to be so opaque-I have always used enamels previously. Add to this the need to wash the brush in warm,soapy water and it enables me to put the brush down very quickly when needed.

This is a small sample and I hope you, like me am impressed.
