Antenocitis Workshop Static Grass.

Following on from the last post, I ordered a few things from Antenocitis, who are primarily a wargaming trader.
However, they also sell many scenic items which the 3mm modeller can use and this is one.
1mm Summer Grass Mix will do nicely for East Boldre as I already have some longer stands to use, but as many say, mix the colours- so I will!

Long Grass.

Having used Woodland Scenics throughout the grassed areas, I was considering what to use for some longer strands.
Some time ago, at a Car Boot Sale, I got hold of a mat of long grass, made I think by Noch.
This is woven together and appears to have a thin foam rubber base. It is the devils own to cut as, even when held down under a stout piece of metal, it tears rather than cuts.
However, it is worthwhile to persevere as it has saved a fortune on, what would otherwise need, a static grass applicator.
This you just cut to size- drop of Elmers and plonk into place. The same is used behind the barn.

Silflor Mini Natur Weeds.

Next on the agenda is some weeds. Purchased at the same time as the flower these are easier to attach.
Just get a set of fine tweezers, pick a clump from the backing film, dip into glue and plonk where you want it. Couldn't be easier.
Both of these products are reasonable in cost, mine were £3.75 each packet- it says so on the ticket.
