Another one bites the dust!
At long last the Plate is finished bar the buffers to fit
once the varnish is dry. Finished as a fitted wagon, the number seems about right and comes from the late lamented Woodhouse Wagon Transfer Sheet.
Instructions by Paul Furner were, as usual, very concise with many details furnished to produce several variants throughout the wagons long life.
Introduced by the LNER about 1930, many were only withdrawn during the mid 80's.
The LMS built a similar design, the residue of the order being produced by BR.
